At Regions, the Financial Development Program (FDP) Analyst program is a two-year rotational program focused on developing an associate talent pool that has been exposed to multiple areas throughout Finance. The FDP allows high performing associates to progress through four (six-month) rotational assignments within the Finance department, developing their financial analysis and leadership skills. During these rotations, associates will develop a foundational knowledge of the functional areas within Finance while also developing a core set of technical skills that will be critical for long-term success with the company. FDP associates will participate in a variety of activities designed to foster teamwork, encourage networking and demonstrate Regions’ values. FDP Analysts will gain experience in the banking industry through participation and progression in the following potential rotational Finance areas:
- Corporate Treasury functions (Including, but not limited to, the Investment Portfolio, Asset/Liability Management, or Funding & Liquidity)
- Corporate Finance functions (Including, but not limited to, Financial Planning & Analysis, Consumer Bank Finance, or Corporate Bank Finance)
- Accounting functions
- Investor functions
- Mergers and Acquisitions
Primary Responsibilities
- Contributes to the formation of financial risk-management-style reporting and analysis
- Researches, prepares, and applies corporate accounting principles
- Participates in forecasting revenue and expenses, and analyzing financial results
- Creates pertinent reporting and ad hoc business/product analysis
- Interacts with middle and senior management across multiple bank business units
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Math
- 3.2 minimum overall GPA
