Responsibilities
Supports senior bankers by conducting research, staying abreast of client and industry trends, and participating in industry and client related strategic and tactical planning
Participates in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers
Maintains proprietary databases through monitoring news, current events, transactions and financial information for clients, prospects and other industry participants
Understands client needs and identifies Regions products and services, or other unique, actionable ideas that can help clients achieve their goals
Develops and maintains detailed financial models to value companies and depict projected financial results
Ensures high quality of client deliverables by having strong written communication skills and attention to detail
Prepares written material, including pitches, proposals, client materials and associated supporting analyses
Conducts extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with proven record of high achievement
Coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
Preferences
Past relevant experience (i.e., summer internships or one (1) to two (2) years past experience)
Skills and Competencies
Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Energetic self-starter with willingness to work long hours and take on significant responsibilities
Ability to multi-task
Dedication towards excellence and achieving results
Capability to pass Series 79 and Series 63 license exams and requirements
