Internships: Emerging Talent Program
Our goal for all interns is to provide the information you need to make an informed decision about your next career goal. Throughout the ten-week program, each intern will receive training, coaching, networking opportunities and exposure to multiple businesses. We want to create an environment where you can discover what you want to do next and build skills to help you successfully find your desired role.

As an intern, you will work full-time during the summer to gain hands on experience before deciding if a full-time position is right for you.

Audit Development Program (ADP) Interns will engage in a variety of business activities designed to develop leadership and technical skills, foster teamwork, encourage networking, and demonstrate Regions' values. ADP interns will have the opportunity to work alongside our Audit or Data Analytics team members to gain valuable hands-on experience, exposure to various areas of the banking industry, and build impactful relationships.

What You Can Expect:
  • Audit Interns
    • Assist in the implementation, execution, and maintenance of an effective risk based audit program, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
    • Perform internal audit fieldwork in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing under the supervision of experienced auditors.
  • Data Interns
    • Data Development and Scripting (SQL, Python, API's, AI/ML)
    • Develop actionable dashboards and stories (PBI, Tableau) based on stakeholder requirements.

The Corporate Banking Group ETP Internship Program is a ten-week hands-on experience in a given role within one of the Corporate Banking Group verticals.  Throughout the summer, each intern will receive training, development, networking opportunities and exposure to multiple business units within CBG. Interns in the Corporate Banking Group have numerous opportunities to develop their professional and development courses including professional development sessions, engage within a team (cohort) environment, partake in value-added tasks and deliverables, and collaborating with senior managers on projects.

The Finance Development Program Internship is a ten-week, non-rotational program. Finance Interns works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. Interns are given development activities, including exposure to executives, technical training, and networking opportunities, in addition to day-to-day responsibilities.

The Government Affairs intern will provide crucial support for our Washington, DC based government affairs team including the Head of Government Affairs & Economic Development, Public Policy Manager, Regulatory Affairs Manager, and PAC Program Manager by assisting with tracking regulatory rulemaking at federal financial agencies, attending Congressional hearings held by the House Financial Services Committee and Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, draft background materials for the government affairs team and Regions executives for meetings with members of Congress and regulatory officials, and prepare presentation materials for Regions PAC solicitations. 

This position offers unique exposure to Members of Congress focused on banking issues and how Regions Government Affairs team advocates for our priorities in Washington, DC and state legislative bodies.

  • Opportunities to attend House and Senate Committee hearings on banking issues

The Human Resources Emerging Talent Program Intern will gain exposure to one of the various departments within Human Resources throughout the ten-week program. Interns will participate in a variety of HR-related activities designed to refine technical knowledge, enhance leadership skills, encourage collaboration and networking, and demonstrate Regions' values.

Regions Risk Management Summer Interns will gain hands-on experience and exposure to various initiatives in Risk Management that are key priorities to enhance risk management principles and practices across the entire organization. Summer Interns will operate as key team members, supporting internal initiatives. Each Summer Intern will be assigned to a specific team and participate in centralized training sessions and have opportunities tointeract with senior members to gain exposure to the various groups within Regions Risk Management.

What You Can Expect:
  • Hands on learning experience within one of our placement departments: Fraud Compliance, Model Risk Management, Financial Risk Management, and Non- Financial Risk Management
